Learn how to make a ceramic mug with Tina Williams of Brave Ceramics at our new partner, Austin Craft Brewing Co. This beginner-level pottery class is for people who want to get creative, build community, & love beer.

During class enjoy the new Queen of Hops- Hazy Pink Lemonade IPA that is a Pink Boots Society beer collaboration! Pink Boots Society is a non-profit working to assist, inspire, and encourage women and non-binary individuals in the brewery industry. Brave Ceramics will donate $5 a ticket to Austin’s local chapter.

In class you’ll use rolled out pieces of clay to build a mug from scratch. You’ll add textures to the outside surface of the mug to personalize your pottery then attach a ready made handle & base. At then end of class, students then choose their mug color which will be professionally applied later.

Mugs are taken back to the studio to be processes and glazed by Tina. They will be ready for pick up at the brewery 4-5 weeks after class. Students will receive a pick up email once the mugs are finished.

Please arrive 5-10 minutes before class to order food and drinks. Parking for the brewery at 4612 Burleson Rd, Austin, TX 78744.

Workshop includes:

  • 1.5 hours of hands-on-instruction

  • Individual clay work stations & tools

  • A dishwasher & microwave safe mug 4-5 weeks after class
